Export Documentation Training

Birmingham Chamber is able to offer the following courses:

Export Documentation Training:

Delegates will learn about the important export/import documents used in international transactions. The seminar takes a practical approach to why and when documents are needed with instructions on how to complete them correctly.

Documentary Letters of Credit:

Staff working in export administration, sales and finance need to have an in-depth and practical working knowledge of the procedures required to ensure payment for goods under letters of credit.

This course is designed to make attendees aware of the pitfalls that hold up and prevent payments.

For more information call 0121 454 6171 or e-mail documentation@birminghamchamber.org.uk.

International Import Certificates:

It is normal practice for a UK individual or company intending to import controlled goods from another COCOM (Co-ordinating Committee) member country to apply for an International Import Certificate (IIC) at the request of the licensing authority of the country of export.

An IIC constitutes an undertaking by the importer to import the goods into the country of destination, without diversion or transhipment elsewhere, and not to re-export the goods without an export licence from the licensing authority in the country of importation. It is also an assurance from the government of that country that it will control any subsequent export of those goods.

Blank forms are available from the Chamber Documentation Department on request. The processing fee is £30+VAT

For more information call 0121 454 6171 or e-mail documentation@birminghamchamber.org.uk.
